I work with film, moving image and sculpture. I’m interested in the physical process of making things. I use old film stock, found objects and construct sculpture from materials that carry their own histories. The marks of labour, the handmade, hand-drawn and hand-processed, are all important aspects in my work. So too is the dedication of time and labour in elevating everyday objects into something of beauty.
I’m influenced by environment, landscape and the psycho-geography of place, working with stories drawn from my lived experiences of queerness, class and family heritage.
Since 2015, I’ve been a programmer for Fringe Queer Film and Arts Festival and have contributed to GRASS magazine.
